Frequently asked questions

Can I extract meta tags from a live website?+

Yes. Enter the full URL (including https://) and the tool will attempt to fetch and parse the page. Note that some sites block cross-origin requests; for those, paste the raw HTML instead.

What types of meta tags are detected?+

The tool extracts standard SEO tags (title, description, canonical, robots), Open Graph tags (og:title, og:image, og:description, etc.), Twitter Card tags, viewport, charset, and all other custom meta tags.

Why is the URL fetch failing for some sites?+

Many websites include CORS headers that prevent direct browser fetching. In these cases, copy the page source (Ctrl+U in most browsers) and paste the raw HTML into the HTML tab.

Is my HTML or URL data stored?+

No. All parsing happens client-side in your browser. No data is sent to any server.
